Gather your heroes and explore the pixelated regions of Hammerwatch II. The kingdom of Herian has been taken over by Blight the Terrible and his army of dragons, who have succeeded in their sinister plan to overthrow the rightful King Roland and wreak havoc on the land. It’s up to you and your most trusted companions to defeat these forces of evil and restore peace.
This latest addition to the Hammerwatch series allows the player to exit the dungeons and explore the pixel world like never before. While still true to the original title’s dungeon crawling action, Hammerwatch II opens up beautiful new regions full of nature and opportunities for the player to help their villagers. hammer island
On Hammer Island, Castle Hammerwatch towers over the beautiful seaside town of Haart’s Landing. The island is lush and beautiful with a wonderful coastline and lush flora. Just watch out for ravenous wolves and creepy crawlies. The locals are friendly but need support as they live in fear of the rogue pirate leader Matt Sinkage and his ruthless band of pirates who are constantly wreaking havoc on the village. In Hammerwatch lore, this island was specifically where the red dragon of the plague, Worldfire, stood guard before being slain by a band of brave heroes.
The Fallowfields
The Fallowfields were once home to the rightful king and his merry men. They’re not so happy these days, as they hide in the garbage in the sewers below Aventurine City. The deposed king’s evil brother, Archibald, has teamed up with Blight and has soldiers patrolling the streets above them while he himself sits on the stolen throne in Castle Superbia.
Blackbarrow
Blackbarrow is the rough country to the north, where the Fire Fox and the Yellow Vests lurk. Banning Jane, the Chief Justice, rules the Obsidian Spire. The town of Sild, which lies within Blackbarrow, has seen far better days… better before it was destroyed by Blight’s black dragon, Doombringer, who watches over the world from somewhere up here…
Highlands of Lockdey
The evil Archibald, surrounded by bushes and forests, fields and meadows, has chosen the Highlands as the place to base his war machines and point them towards the ocean. He hopes to prevent a foreign fleet from coming to the aid of his brother, the rightful king. The people at Ambrose Retreat cheer on the evil Archibald, but the partisans in the forest loathe him!
Travel through these different regions Hammerwatch II and discover the beauty and horrors the world has to offer. Dare to embark on your own, or gather your squad of heroes to face this epic quest. Just watch out for the dragon.
