You’re using the wrong Diablo 4 emote wheel

Diablo, Emote, Wheel, Wrong, youre

The Diablo 4 Action Wheel, or more commonly known as the Emote Wheel, is one of the most underappreciated new features in the game. Sure, it lets you pet cats and dogs and show everyone that you bought the $100 version of the game, but it also serves a more meaningful purpose.

You probably already know that you can bring up the steering wheel to quickly exit dungeons, invite players to parties, and more. But did you know you can apply it to your instant battles?

Reinvent the wheel.

The action wheel — bound to E by default on the keyboard, up on the controller’s D pad — can be customized by removing and adding emotes. There are three pages and you have complete control over what you want.

But besides emotes, you can also bind more utility items to it, such as elixirs and incense. Elixirs, in particular, don’t have the most descriptive icon, so trying to find what you’re looking for and activating it before/during a fight is a pain.

The same goes for the scrolls, which are handy for hardcore players trying to get out of trouble before losing their character.

This tip was shared by Reddit user SourceScope, and other players have shared useful tips of their own.

In addition to calling up the wheel itself, you can also bind the individual functions of the wheel to your keyboard, which is handy for potions with very limited time effects.

Once you’re done customizing your steering wheel, one of the things you’ll want to make sure to do is confirm your changes before leaving the menu. If you don’t, it won’t save the changes. This also applies to title changes in character pages, but you should already know that.
