This July, Splatoon 3 will have a new splatfest. On selected dates, players will be able to represent three of their favorite ice cream flavors: vanilla, strawberry and mint.
For those who don’t know, Splatfest is a limited-time event where you can choose between different factions and fight according to your personal preferences. Previous Splatfest themes have been Grass, Fire and Water, or my personal favorite, Spicy Sweet or Sour.
If you want to get your hdna covered in gooey sweet ice cream, you’ll want to start Splatoon 3 between July 14th and July 16th. During this time, you’ll be able to participate in a three-player melee battle. The winning ice cream flavor will be announced after this conflict is over and will go down in squid history forever.
There’s also the Foggy Notion challenge, where players fight with very limited vision on the map. As a result, it’s hard to see what’s going on at any point during a tense close-quarters melee.
Now that all the facts are gone, go ahead and do it. It is the most mature flavor of the three, subtle and delicate on the tongue. Strawberries are good for babies, and vanilla is for bland and basic flavors. But it won’t win, because we all know mint is a flavor that sacrifices popularity for authenticity.
Even if Mint loses, I won’t be angry because everyone actually know Rum and raisins are the best ice cream flavors. No, I’m not yet 60, which is great, and the fact that I need to pay upwards of £50 to take the train to the beach to have a chance of finding a shop that sells it is such a tragedy.
