The Butcher, also known as the boss of Diablo 4, responsible for About 2% of the players in the game die, is a threat. Unlike most bosses in Diablo IV, the Butcher isn’t a boss you can prepare and face your way, so you’ll need to improvise.
This is because the Butcher is a roaming boss who spawns randomly anywhere in the world, and often appears when you’ve used up your last few healing potions and when you least expect it.
The Butcher is a powerful boss that will most likely kill you and disappear. You may never be able to get your revenge hours later, until you are ambushed by him again. That said: you have every right to use any form of “cheese” to kill the butcher.
That’s what Reddit user crazycatlady1196 did when he was ambushed by a tough boss.Not only does it appear to chase the player, but it also fights alongside the player three Other bosses they are already fighting.
Crazycatlady1196’s solution? Use Diablo 4’s terrain to your advantage. As it turns out, Butcher doesn’t know what to do with altitude. So if you find yourself near a ladder or hill, just climb up and throw him off the safe platform.

In fact, it’s a pretty old trick. Many who have the misfortune to face the Butcher discover early on that height is the boss’ main weakness. Regardless of how time-consuming and mind-numbing the process is, you still need a decent ranged ability to deal damage.
This is not a problem for Warlocks, Rogues and Necromancers. Other classes, however, will struggle. Given the variety of builds in Diablo IV, you might not even have a single ranged skill to use.
If you really have to beat a butcher, Diablo 4 lets you reassign on the fly. So you can always find a good remote build for your class and quickly apply it and act on it.
