Something that is about to arrive in the new Blizzard game is Seasons. Diablo IV will soon receive the first one and with it will implement the battle pass and new challenges with rewards. However, a lot of people were shocked by how it works, because it seems like did not like to everybody. These are called “season characters” and will be used to access content and complete the pass. That’s to say, you will not be able to progress to the season pass with your current character, so if you’re going to take advantage of the seasons… I’m sorry to say that this is of no use to you. Having your character at level 70 and having to start from scratch just because of seasonal content… It’s quite frustrating for many players. However, for now, Blizzard won’t change its mind. At least they could let the battle pass with any character, not just the new ones.

The part where we waste time is because everything we do now won’t work for the new seasons. And remember you’ll have to do this with every one that comes out, ie the characters you choose for season one won’t work for season two. You will have to start over. Rod Fergusson also recommends redoing the story mode in order to complete the challenges given to us, we’ll see how that is received, but so far it doesn’t seem like people are very supportive of it.
Always there is hope that in the future Blizzard will change its mind and enjoy the seasons with our main character, or with others if we want to create new classes. But not everyone likes the fact that they force you to do so, for now we can only wait to see the official reception of this new mechanic. But this could be a decision that encourages people not to play/buy the season passes.
