Final Fantasy 16 Scarletite Locations
So far listed in the same order you unlock them, you can get Scarletite in Final Fantasy 16 as a reward for:
- Side quest “Hot Water”
- Dozmare Hunt
- Fastitocalon Hunt (x2 Scarletite rewarded)
- Hunt for ten of clubs
- Saint Trumpitour Hunt
Of the above methods, completing “Hot Water”, Dozmare Hunt, and Fastitocalon Hunt are the fastest ways to get Scarletite in Final Fantasy 16.
Hot water
The “Hot Water” side quest can be picked up from Xaver at The Dalimil Inn in the Dhalmekian Republic later in the “Riddle of the Sands” main quest.
All you have to do is kill bomb enemies for Xaver and you’ll get a Scarletite as a reward for your troubles.
Dozmare Hunt
The Dozmare gryphon hunt is unlocked through the “Blacksmith’s Blues” side quest, which can be picked up from the hideout during the “Here Be Monsters” main quest.
Dozmare is located in the southeast corner of the Norvent Valley in Sanbreque, which you can access by following the road south from the village of Lostwing. We also have some tips for beating Dozmare if you want to prepare for the fight.
Fastitocalon Hunt (A Hill to Die On)
The “A Hill to Die On” hunt is actually called Fastitocalon and appears on the hunt board shortly after the start of the “Riddle of the Sands” main quest.
Fastitocalon is located in the northeast corner of the Velkroy Desert region in the Republic of Dhalmekian Province. This is also the best hunt to do for a fast Scarletite, as it rewards two as part of the loot.
Hunt for ten of clubs
The Ten of Clubs appear on the hunt board shortly after completing the “Fire in the Sky” main quest.
The Ten of Clubs is located in the small region of Vanmere located southeast of the Corava Fields region in the province of the Republic of Dhalmekian.
Saint Trumpitour Hunt
The Saint Trumpitour appears as part of the side quest “Returnled Flame” which becomes available during the main quest “Cloak and Dagger”.
The Holy Trumpitour is located at the very end of the cellar passage in the Lostwing Village area of Sanbreque Province. It is south of the village.
Uses of Final Fantasy 16 Scarletite
We know of three items you need to use Scarletite to craft in Final Fantasy 16:
- Belt of the Drakeslayer
- Drakeslayer Bracers
- Excalibur Sword
Blueprints for the Drakeslayer’s Belt and Bracer are obtained for completing the first “Blacksmith’s Blues” side quest, and the Excalibur Blueprint is then rewarded when you complete the next side quest “Blacksmith’s Blues II”.
