Diablo 4’s latest patch fixes one of the most annoying visual bugs, and it’s not even in the patch notes

This week’s Diablo 4 patch has made many players very happy. This update has been well-received, as it buffs all classes, drastically increases end-game XP gains, and fixes many bugs the game has had since launch.

However, as with most big games (and major patches) these days, not all changes are included in the patch notes. The most dedicated fans often try to collect all the undocumented patch notes, and that’s exactly what the Diablo 4 Reddit community has been doing since the patch was released.

Perhaps the most notable unlisted change is an adjustment to the Necromancer Corpse Explosion ability. Previously, it would leave a blurry pool of water, making it impossible to see droplets on the ground, and even harder to see enemies standing in it.

This is a problem for necromancers, but it’s even more of a headache for people who play corpse blast necromancers. Considering how powerful this ability is, you can almost guarantee that when you follow a necromancer it will stay with you.

The pool is now significantly less opaque, and while it could use one more tweak, you can at least see the droplets and enemies trapped in them now. Thank you to everyone who plays Necros, Blizzard!

Next on the list is a slight tweak to the treasure chest icons in the towns on the map where storerooms can be found. Quite simply, the icon now shows an open chest instead of a closed one. This doesn’t actually affect the behavior of Stash, but it’s a neat update nonetheless.

In terms of new content, the patch sneakily added a new Helltide event, which is great because the enhanced XP gain from Helltide was a big change in the patch. Based on early calculations, Nightmare Dungeon XP rewards are now 80% higher.

Of course, all of this is worth watching, especially for players in Endgame. Find out about the rest of the changes in 1.0.3 in our Patch Notes recap, and visit our Diablo 4 guide, because we feel like you might want to change your build a bit after today’s enhancements.
