One of the most popular was the MacBook Air M1, the one I own. It was supposed to be a revolution in the world of Apple, and I must honestly say that it is. Being able to use a computer without listening to absolutely anything is wonderful
However, With the arrival of summer, all that changes. If we find it difficult to be in a room without air conditioning or a simple fan, imagine a working team. Since it has no cooling systems, it cools itself with heatsinks and the case itself, which is not the most convenient for the user, since all this heat is rejected towards us.
What does it affect?
In addition to the previously mentioned heat it gives off, there are 3 even more important factors.
In the first place, The power, because these teams are looking for efficiency in relation to their current conditions. That is, if the processor is at 90 degrees, its performance will be reduced in order to avoid overheating and cool down a little. It will hurt us because it will take longer to complete a task.
On another side, battery, and it is that at a higher temperature and performance the computer will need more energy consumption, and it is likely that we will see the autonomy of our equipment exhausted very quickly. Something that will not be very funny, since if we have a laptop it is to be able to move it, not to permanently connect it to the electricity grid.
And finally, the lifespan of our components, since heat is their worst enemy, in addition to forcing their performance, which will cause our computer to have a much shorter life than it could have in the correct temperature conditions. Something to keep in mind if our intention is to have a team for many years.
So is this a good option?
In short, these teams are great and in winter they are the best you can ownHowever, depending on where you live and how you use it, they might not be such a great option due to all those issues that come with not having a fan inside.
In other words, if you are planning to buy a laptop of this style because of its silent characteristics, consider its use, it will not be the same as using the computer for gaming (which requires power and will overheat), than using it just browsing and watching a series. In that case, you might come to consider it. Now it’s up to you.
