Due to a coronavirus problem, SXSW 2020 has been cancelled.
SXSW 2020 Organizers announced that the March event had been cancelled by the city of Austin. This will be the first time in 34 years that this incident has not occurred in Texas.
According to the official announcement, options for rescheduling the event are being discussed, and organizers are working to provide participants with a "virtual SXSW online experience as soon as possible" starting with SXSW EDU.
This year's event was a keynote address by Reggie Fils-Aime, a former U.S. Nintendo owner. An annual Sonic expert group will also be held, and Sega has stated that it expects "one or two special announcements."
The company is currently developing a new format for the panel, which is now scheduled for release in April.
We regret to see the cancellation of SXSW, but we respect the call and we are working to make the contents of our Sonic group everyone new in April this year!

The COVID-19 virus has drawn attention from many incidents, with the most recent Emerald City Comic-Con in Seattle having been moved to the summer by a coronavirus case in the city.
Other events, such as GDC 2020, Eve Carnival and various e-sports events, have been postponed or cancelled. Some developers have also decided to skip Pax East out of focus on coronavirus.
Thank you, Komatsu
