Even if we asked you what mobile app you use most in your day-to-day, many would answer that WhatsApp, Instagram or similar app, you know you're definitely wrong. Because the app we use most every day is a web browser, that tool that doesn't give us much value but without a doubt is important not only to the smartphone, but to other technology products such as tablets or computers.
The web browsers to choose from are many and varied. Some focus on privacy, others on the user experience that it's best … so there's generally nothing better than one but we must choose one that suits our daily needs.
Now, a few days ago we told you that Google Chrome was the most widely used web browser in the world and that many people still use it, to all surprise, outdated browsers such as Internet Explorer. However Did you know which browser is the safest yet?
According to a recent study, this is a web browser that greatly respects users' privacy
When choosing a web browser we should take into account a few features. That works fast, that light when our phone or computer is less powerful and in particular, respect new privacy and security. Not to mention we will spend hours using this tool searching for content on the Internet and looking for sensitive information such as our bank account, not forgetting that it will keep all our accounts and passwords.
For this reason, this study called "Web Browser Privacy: What Do Browsers Say When They Touch Home Homes?" developed by a team led by a professor at the University of Dublin, analyzed the 6 most popular web browsers of the time to find out which one best respects its users.
Examination included collecting data during a few use cases a standard browser, such as:
- In the first instance after the new installation
- In the browser when it is closed and restarted
- When pasting a URL in the top bar
- After typing the URL in the top bar
- When the browser wasn't working
The results, with ZDNet's digital digital design, leave us with several interesting results. Three different groups are proven, the first and most private are Brave, in the second Chrome, Firefox and Safari and in the third and smallest group, Microsoft Edge and Yandex.
So also according to this study, if we want to browse privately and securely on our device we must use courage, which is a way with a free Android app with 4.3 out of 5 points and about 150,000 downloads. If not, we should use any other browser such as Chrome or Firefox.
Surprisingly, the new Microsoft Edge, which I personally test on my mobile device and computer, works so well it is a wonderful surprise for all who have been able to try it … as long as we are not concerned with the results of this analysis.
