It’s common for retailers to offer bonuses for pre-ordering games, but for some reason, Best Buy is giving everyone an ice cream sandwich with every Starfield pre-order.
Now, to be clear, this isn’t just any old ice cream sandwich. As shared by trading guide Wario64, it’s a very specific Halo Astronaut Ice Cream (not the same as the in-game Halo, to be clear) described as “raw chocolate sandwiched between two chocolate wafers, Vanilla and Strawberry Ice Cream with All You Can Eat “Earth or Space!” Apparently, Best Buy is doing this because Starfield is a space exploration game, no question about that, but the food is a little weird. The pictures (which you can see below) don’t make it look that appetizing either open.

Unfortunately, if you’re in the UK, you’ll have to buy your own space-themed ice cream sandwich – which also seems a bit of a scam, as Best Buy claims it’s worth $10, but as pointed out by Wario64, you can get it elsewhere Get it for $5. I guess, an Ice Cream Sandwich with the wrong value is better than an Ice Cream Sandwich?
With less than two months to go before the release of Starfield, the game is finally coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 6th. However, if you pre-order the premium version, you can actually play 5 games. That’s a few days early, so September 1st – quite an early start for such a massive RPG.
Back at Not-E3, Bethesda released the Constellation Edition for $300, $200 more than the Premium Edition. The Constellation Edition comes with some great-looking kit, notably the sleek Chronomark watch, which comes in a special case. You’ll also get early access to the Shattered Space DLC, the Constellation skin pack, artbook, and soundtrack when it launches.
