Most recently, Kobe Bryant, the cover athlete of this year’s NBA 2K24, was introduced, and a little later the contents of the editions and the exact release date were also set.
The NBA 2K series celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, and the developers at Visual Concepts are celebrating with a special anniversary edition of the new NBA 2K24. This even includes a 12-month subscription to the NBA League Pass. But one after anonther …
It has been clear for a few days that the late 18-time All-Star Kobe Bryant will grace the cover of this year’s NBA 2K24. This was previously confirmed for September, but now it’s clear: this year’s basketball title will be officially available from September 8, 2023. The game will be released for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch.
One of the most important innovations this year: NBA 2K24 will support cross-play between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Fans had been asking for such a feature for a long time – and now it is coming at least to the current consoles.
Also, in honor of Kobe Bryant’s return to the cover, Mamba Moments mode is making its debut, allowing you to relive Kobe’s most moving accomplishments and his rise from a young phenomenon to one of the greatest players of all time. Technically, however, ProPLAY is on board – a new technology intended to transfer real NBA recordings to the gameplay of NBA 2K24. Animations and movements are generated based on current NBA events and are intended to provide a new level of authenticity. More details on these new features will follow over the summer.
Finally, for the moment, the three editions have at least been presented in detail.
