We all know that the franchise Assassin’s Creed is characterized by having – without forgetting that it is always about video games – the historically as accurate as possible. The structures, the weapons, the historical characters… They always try to be as faithful as possible to what was really experienced at the time when each episode was shot. In Assassin’s Creed MirageOf course, nothing will change in this direction.
What is Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s “Baghdad Story”?
Regarding this very thing, Ubisoft revealed nail new feature of the next part of the saga, located in the Baghdad of the ninth century. It’s called “History of Baghdad»and allow us to learn “information selected by experts on the history, art and culture of Baghdad and the Abbasid Caliphate around the 9th century. This content will be part of the game’s codex (or encyclopedia), and even it will help progress of our departure.
As basimwe can visit up to 66 historic sites by map, unlock “research-based items” with subjects such as daily life, the economy or the government of Baghdad of this century already so distant. Once this historical database is completed, we will receive an as yet unknown reward for the title.
History of Baghdad was developed by a team of historians at Ubisoft Montreal, which also had help from other colleagues and institutions outside of the company itself. This demonstrates, once again, the effort that the Gauls put into showing the most reliable data to real history.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC on October 12.
