Youtuber and CoD expert Drift0r comes to a surprising result in his new video: The M4 has had its day and the AK takes over the throne!

Drift0r explains that the AK-47 the new best weapon since the last patch is in CoD MW. He compares the two common setups of the M4 and the AK-47 in the competitive scene and measures their performance.

What is the result?
In the comparison, Drift0r measures a time to kill (TTK) of 222 milliseconds for the M4 with a range of 35 meters. For the AK-47, it has a TTK of 181 milliseconds with a range of 33 meters.
The AK can therefore statistically at a similar distance kill an opponent significantly faster than the M4. You can also reload the AK faster than the M4. The only disadvantage of the AK is a slower ADS time. The conclusion of Drift0r therefore sounds very clear:
"The AK with the 5.45mm ammunition is definitely the best weapon for public multiplayer matches at the moment – it is absolutely top class!"
It has the fastest TTK of all fully automatic assault rifles in the game and can even keep up with wonder weapons like the MP5 in close combat, according to the result of the Youtuber.
Why is the AK suddenly stronger?
The reason for this drastic change is the strong buff for the 5.45x39mm conversion. As we reported, the hotfix of March 3, 2020 ensured that the attachment changed from "really bad" to "extremely strong".
A measurement of the damage values from Youtuber TheXclusiveAce showed that the ammunition now does more damage and ensures a kill with just three body or two head hits. The immense buff makes the AK (with the ammunition attachment) the bottom line stronger than the M4.
