Why this refund?
Upon its release in 2019, reviews were very mixed. “Battalion 1944 is a game that doesn’t really stand out or feel very memorable. The gameplay is correct, but (…) the graphical problems are noticeable and break the immersion,” the media note gaming trend. parallel to, Battalion 1942 failed to release the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions promised in the Kickstarter campaign. In addition, Bulkhead announced that it would be breaking up with its publisher, Square Enix. And to compensate for this renunciation and change of direction, the developers have decided to give compensation to all players. There are only conditions: You must respond to an investigation within 30 days.
Then the studio takes care of the reimbursement of all costs via PayPal, which should take time three months. “PayPal is the best solution, regardless of location, to ensure that as many people as possible (from as many countries as possible) can receive their refunds,” the developers explained on Kickstarter. Obviously, this sudden decision presented a challenge to many users who believed in a scam. For Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer only: “For us it is not a question of money, but a question of ethics”.
