With the OnePlus 12, another generation of the flagship series from OnePlus is in the starting blocks. In addition to top-level performance, we can also expect advances in the camera again this time. Of course, we don’t know exactly what the manufacturer pulls out of the hat.
However, with increasing interest in the new smartphone, there are more and more rumors and leaks that give us at least a rough idea of what we can expect from the successor to the OnePlus 11. We summarize these for you below.
When will the OnePlus 12 be released?
Due to a leak, we can currently assume that the OnePlus 12 will be launched in December 2023, at least in China. When it will appear in the rest of the world is still unclear. The OnePlus 11 appeared worldwide only a little later.
But this does not apply to Germany. After all, Nokia and OnePlus still have to reach an agreement in court before the path is clear for a launch in Germany.
Which versions will there be of the OnePlus 12?
There is no Pro version of the OnePlus 11. However, a less powerful device was introduced at the same time as the high-end smartphone – the OnePlus 11R. Possibly that’s the new product strategy and we can expect something similar with the OnePlus 12. But a OnePlus 12 and a OnePlus 12 Pro are also conceivable.
How much will the OnePlus 12 cost?
There is still no information about possible prices for the OnePlus 12. So let’s take the suggested retail price of the predecessor as a reference. The cheapest option is 829 dollars. However, the price could increase, for example, due to expensive components in the successor.

Display
This time, OnePlus is probably using a 6.7-inch screen with OLED technology and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. This should have a QHD resolution. QHD usually means a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.
According to more recent information, the corners of the display should be rounded. In addition, the camera would no longer be installed near the top left corner, but rather in the top center this time.

The OnePlus 11 already relies on the most powerful Qualcomm processor currently on the market (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2). We therefore expect that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which may already have been released by then, will be used in the OnePlus 12 at the end of 2023.

The OnePlus 12 is said to have a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. It will probably be able to be charged with 100 watts.
Camera
The biggest change concerns the camera. The OnePlus 11 is said to have some deficits in terms of zoom, which could be compensated for in the OnePlus 12 with a periscope camera. These cameras also ensure variable magnification in smartphones. In addition to the new type of camera, which should have a resolution of 64 megapixels, the cell phone should also have a wide-angle camera and a main sensor with 50 megapixels each.
