Following the high-profile licensing dispute between FIFA and its long-term partner EA Sports, a brand new gameplay trailer for EA Sports FC 24 has been released, showing some highly anticipated footage of the football game that will replace FIFA 24.
For the first time ever, you’ll be able to collect female players in Ultimate Team and play on the same pitch as male players.
As the official reveal is livestreamed, you can watch the 45-minute demo for yourself below:
The gameplay comes on the heels of the recent Ultimate Edition cover star reveal, and while there were some good tributes to stars past and present, the response was mixed due to some interesting parallels.
On the pitch however, more than 19,000 licensed players, 700 teams and 30 leagues will appear in EA Sports FC 24 thanks to a direct deal with FIFPro and numerous domestic competitions.
Title additions include a greatly expanded set of “Hypermotion V” animations designed to represent the fluid movement of a variety of unique athletes with unique body types.
In Ultimate Team mode in particular, you’ll also find the equivalent of a new icon – you can add past legendary players to your current roster – and a new feature that helps differentiate players’ skill sets, called “game style,” and a mixed team of male and female pros.
At the end of the live stream, the EA Sports FC 24 release date was announced as September 29, 2023.
