No sooner has the content update for version 10.1.5 of World of WarCraft: Dragonflight arrived than Blizzard Entertainment is already looking to the future. Fresh game content awaits you again in the forthcoming game version 10.1.7.
Blizzard Entertainment has announced the next content update for the current expansion Dragonflight of the long-running MMORPG World of WarCraft – just a few days after the launch of version 10.1.5! The online role-playing game then makes the next leap to version number 10.1.7, which will be called “Incarnation of Wrath”. The update will soon be available on the public test realm (PTR) first.
What can you specifically expect in the next patch? First off, the story quests and prologue of the campaign will continue. In addition, the Dawn of the Eternal will then be available in heroic difficulty and new public quest objectives await you in the form of Dream Leaps. Last but not least, the development team has also promised new customization options in the form of heritage armor and more.
The official list of key features reads as follows:
- Sequels for story quests and the campaign prologue
- The next chapters of the story will be available. They’re laying the groundwork for what’s to come in Update 10.2 later this year.
- Players can also look forward to the next chapters of the Tyr questline.
- Bronze Dragonflight quests will also be introduced, intended to complete the flight’s forays into the timeways that unfolded in the wake of the events of Rifts in Time (10.1.5).
- Dawn of the Eternal: Heroic Difficulty
- The eternal dragonflight, long enemies of the bronze dragons, have worked hard towards their ultimate goal: the transformation of Nozdormu, the Aspect of Time, into Murozond.
- This eight-boss megadungeon, only available on Mythic difficulty, is split into two Heroic difficulty dungeons.
- New public quest objectives: dream jumps
- Several of Dragonflight’s existing zones align with this Dream on, causing all rare enemies and world quests in the affected zones to grant a special currency. This currency can be used to activate zone-wide buffs and trigger waking dreams. They are invasion events similar to the time rifts.
- Rare, dream-filled enemies can also drop gear tokens (similar to the tokens dropped from rare enemies on the Forbidden Island), making them great for alternate characters or returning players looking to upgrade their gear.
- New customization options
- New customization options will be available:
- heritage armor and related quest lines to unlock for night elves and the forsaken.
- Along with the new heritage armor, new face and body tattoos will also be available for night elf characters, and new skin tones for Forsaken characters.
