Microsoft and Sony have reached an agreement regarding the Call of Duty series.
After Microsoft was able to assert itself victoriously against the FTC this week and the Turkish competition authority also approved a takeover of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft has come another step closer to its goal today.
So Phil Spencer announced via Twitter that Microsoft and Sony regarding call of Duty could agree. Both parties have entered into a deal stating that future parts of the Call of Duty series will also appear on the PlayStation.
Phil Spencer announced: “We are pleased to announce that Microsoft and PlayStation have signed a binding agreement to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation following the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. We look forward to a future where gamers around the world have more choices to play their favorite games.”
This reinforces Microsoft’s own plan to give players a choice on which platform they want to enjoy their favorite games in the future.
