The Monster Hunter competitor Wild Hearts has once again received a fresh update and is waiting for you with a new challenge. Here we tell you what to expect in the current patch.
With Wild Hearts, EA Originals and Koei Tecmo have been trying to compete with Capcom’s Monster Hunter for some time now that action-packed monster hunting has established itself as a formula for success. Regular new content updates with new challenges should help – and one such has now been published again.
Specifically, you now get the Tsukuyomi update for the hunting game free of charge. The patch is available to download now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The focus is on the eponymous new Kemono Tsukuyomi. It is a beast that plunges the land of Azuma into darkness.
Namely, Tsukuyomi seemingly absorbs sunbeams instead of heavenly threads to give power to his attacks, earning him the title “Spirit of Darkness”. After a successful battle, you can forge new weapons and armor sets as a reward.
In addition, the update offers four new hunt series quests, which only involve powerful and dangerous Kemono and are intended to present you with a special challenge. These can be accessed through the subplots section of the main map. Each time you kill a target, your rewards will increase. However, if you fail at any point in an ongoing hunt, you will not get any reward at all.
