GTA 3 is arguably the most important episode the entire saga has ever experienced, without it all of Rockstar’s other achievements would certainly not exist, and Rockstar itself would certainly not exist. Grand Theft Auto 3 is all about your new installment of JV Legends.
At the beginning of the year 2000 the need for renewal arose GTA is of paramount importance to Rockstar. The criticism of the second part of the franchise is too great to ignore. For the public and the press, GTA 2 is Episode 1 reheated in the microwave. Then the development studio gets to work, the teams need a brand new graphics engine, which they can find at the Criterion company. The challenge for the developers is immense, to go from a top-down 2D game to a third-person 3D game. The game must enable limitless exploration of a New York city that is being redesigned with unprecedented dynamism. The player must be able to shoot while running, jump into a car and get out as dry as possible to rob a store, all without loading time. Before and after its release, Grand Theft Auto 3 also faces critics who accuse it of promoting anarchism, being responsible for youth violence and the largest massacres in the United States. The reason for this criticism? 9/11 happened a few months before the game was released. In any case, to this day, Grand Theft Auto 3 remains a prequel to the other episodes of the franchise, as well as open-world games in general.
