Pikmin 4 isn’t out on Switch yet, but Nintendo has already released a new update ahead of its launch later this week.
As he pointed out Perfectly Nintendothe latest update brings the game up to Version 1.0.1. Below are the patch notes, which reveal how “various issues” have been fixed to improve the overall experience. Unfortunately, these notes don’t mention anything else, but if Nintendo or the dataminers share more insight in the coming days, we’ll let you know.

In general – Fixed various issues to improve the gameplay experience.
Pikmin 4 pre-orders and pre-loads are also live on the Switch eShop. It will take up about 10.4 GB of space. If you pre-installed the game, your copy should already be at version 1.0.1.
If you’re still unsure about Pikmin 4, you can actually download the demo right now from the Switch eShop. The good news is that your save data will also carry over to the entire game when it arrives.
