Mobile has become a versatile tool thanks to the different applications that developers publish. In addition, we have solutions from the administration itself that allow us to carry out procedures, such as the complete “My Citizen File”.
Now, in the middle of summer, the Junta de Andalucía has updated an application launched in 2020. For what purpose? Well, with the aim of providing citizens with an updated and real-time source of information on the state of Andalusian beaches. As if that were not enough, with a virtual assistant in the purest ChatGPT style whom we can ask questions about any related aspect.
What’s the weather like on the beach? Is there a green flag? Artificial intelligence answers us
When we open the application, developed by the Junta de Andalucía, we see a well-known design, which follows the lines of Google’s operating system. Since Side menuwe can access various functions such as the map, favorite beaches (marked by the user) or emergency information.
But now a new feature has been added called “Virtual Assistant” in the app. Taking advantage of the arrival of summer, this section was presented on Victoria beach (in Cádiz), as a direct solution that allows us to chat with an AI-based assistant. It learns human language and will allow us to perform various informative requests.
As can be seen on the official website of the Junta de Andalucía, this virtual assistant behaves like ChatGPT, offering recommendations and giving information to the user. It is able to understand natural language and through machine learning it improves its performance.
We can ask you questions about any aspect related to the state of the beaches directly from our mobile, although it can be used in the same way from the browser on the web. Now, what kind of questions is he able to answer? Well, in its theme, it offers varied information.
For example, we can ask General informations asking “What do you know about La Caleta beach?”. Or more specific questions such as “Do you know if the water is very dirty?, “What beaches are there in Huelva?”, or “Which beaches allow pets?” are updated in real time but this wizard only accesses public data sources from the Junta de Andalucía.
If what we are asking for is not in these sources, the assistant will not be able to respond. But the truth is that works really well, providing fast response time and accurate information. It is great to know more about the coasts of the Andalusian region, without forgetting that it provides us with recommendations on safety: cases of assaults, drownings, traffic accidents, lost people or fires.
Now, before going to the beach, we will know in advance everything that surrounds it: conditions, dirty water, weather, if they accept pets or nudism, if they are open at a specific time, security flags and a long etcetera that will make our vacation more bearable.
