The expansion took place in the 14th century, when 30 – 60 percent of the European population died from the consequences of the plague. Accordingly, the core of the DLC is the game's completely revised epidemic system.
- The plague: On a new map view you can watch the plague spread.
- Royal doctors: A new position with events like diagnosis and medieval treatment of diseases.
- Depopulation: If you do not try to contain the spread, entire regions can deteriorate.
- Hospitals: Slow down the spread of epidemics.
- Seclusion: You can withdraw yourself from epidemics with your retinue while your countries are being carried away by you.
Popular extension: On Steam, 380 players rated The Reaper's Due. And they are largely satisfied with the additional content. A whopping 88 percent praised the expansion and, in their comments, highlighted in particular the exciting stories that they were able to experience in the game thanks to it. At the same time, the level of difficulty increases significantly, which is why the DLC is not necessarily suitable for all players.
