The long awaited The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt version 4.04 is finally available on Nintendo Switch and this update brings the Nintendo Switch version of the game up to date with other platforms in terms of features. CD Projekt Red says The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt version 4.04 includes bug fixes, gameplay tweaks, and quality-of-life changes, as well as additional content inspired by Netflix’s The Witcher series, among other things. This update also contains fixes for all platforms:
ONLINE FEATURES — NINTENDO SWITCH
Added cross-platform progression feature that replaces the previous save file integration introduced in patch 3.6 for Nintendo Switch. Your most recent saves will automatically be uploaded to the cloud so you can easily pick up where you left off on other platforms. Cross-progression allows for the most recent save for each save type. This feature becomes available after you log in to your account. Note that a GOG account is required regardless of your platform. By logging into MY REWARDS in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, players can receive:

ADDITIONAL CONTENT — NINTENDO SWITCH
- Added a new side mission, In the Shadow of Eternal Fire, in Velen. The awards are inspired by Neftlix’s The Witcher series.
- Added an alternate skin for Dandelion inspired by the Netflix series The Witcher. You can enable it in Options → Gameplay.
- Added an alternative set of Nilfgaardian Armor inspired by the Netflix series The Witcher. You can enable it in Options → Gameplay.
- Added voices for Chinese and Korean. Availability depends on region and version.
CHANGES IN QUALITY OF LIFE — NINTENDO SWITCH
- Added Quick Sign Casting option. Allows changing and discarding characters without opening the radial menu. You can find it in Options → Gameplay.
- Adjusted the minimum height for fall damage, allowing the player to survive falls from higher heights.
- Herbs can now be instantly looted with a single interaction – no additional loot window.
- Added options that dynamically hide minimap and mission objectives when not in combat or using Witcher senses. You can find it in Options → Video → HUD Configuration → Hide Minimap While Exploring and Hide Objectives While Exploring.
- Added option to walk slower when playing with a controller. You can now walk lightly by pushing the left stick forward slightly.
- Added alternate sprint mode option when playing with a controller. It is activated by touching the left stick. You can find it in Options → Control Settings.
- Added option to make target lock unaffected by camera inversion. You can find it in Options → Control Settings.
- Improved the radial menu so that bombs, bolts and pocket items can now be changed dynamically without opening the inventory.
- Added font size scaling option for subtitles, NPC chatter and dialogue selection. You can find it in Options → Video → HUD Configuration.
- Various other small fixes, tweaks and quality of life changes have been added, including a few secrets for players to uncover.
- Added an option to change potions and apply oil from the radial menu.
- Added option to automatically apply oil in battle.
- New default map filter. The new default filter hides some icons like “?” and boat icons to reduce icon flooding. These icons can be turned back on by switching the map mode “All”.
PLAYING — NINTENDO SWITCH
- Added Full Combat Rebalance 3 mod by Flash_in_the_flesh which includes balance changes and various gameplay fixes. We’ve taken a curated approach to this mod, with some elements further tweaked over what you’ll find in the mod by default, while other elements are left out.
- Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear – Fixed an issue where the chest on the Signal Tower could not be opened.
- From Ofier’s Distant Shores – Fixed an issue where the diagram in the chest in the bandit hideout could be missing.
- Hard Times – Fixed an issue where Geralt could not talk or give a letter to the blacksmith.
- Echoes of the Past – Fixed an issue where, after defeating the Foglets, the quest could get stuck and it was not possible to talk to Yennefer.
- Wine Wars – Fixed an issue where the quest could not be completed if the player destroyed one of the required monster nests while exploring.
- Fixed an issue where the Grandmaster Wolven Set did not require master crafted items.
- Various small fixes to missions and scenes.
