One of the great novelties introduced by Android 13 was the possibility of uniformly changing the appearance of all icons, at least those that are compatible, and you are going to learn how to do it on a Xiaomi device with MIUI.

These changes can be applied to all icons supported by the option, and the more developers start making their apps compatible, the more uniform they will become, although there are already many that support this change.
For convenience, it will be as if you had applied a minimalist icon pack in which, in addition, you can alternate the background color to stay with the one you prefer.
How to change icon color in MIUI
If MIUI 14 is installed on your mobile or tablet with Android 13, you can enable this option and use it to change the appearance of icons in the device launcher. You need to follow these steps:
- Hold the screen and press the settings button.
- Click More.
- Give a background color and select one.
If you go back to your main launcher screen when you select a new color, you will be able to check that the icons of some of the apps you have installed have changed color and transformed their aesthetic to a more minimalist style and have the color you selected as the background color.
Unfortunately, not all apps are compatible, and some will remain as before, as developers need to make the icon compatible.
If this happens to you and you want to keep the same aesthetic lines in all the icons, the best thing to do is to install an alternative icon pack, something you can apply without having to install a launcher, from the Xiaomi desktop settings.
