Pikmin 4 was released yesterday, and reviews for the game have been trickling in this week, and most of them have been positive. However, you may remember that a month ago ports of the first 2 Pikmin games were released digitally on the Nintendo Switch. A physical version containing both games will arrive on September 22nd.
That said, you might be curious how Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 work from a technical perspective. That’s where Digital Foundry comes in. They released a technical review of the games. Overall, they feel that while both ports are pretty basic and it’s safe to say that both Pikmin games could have received a bit more of a technical upgrade, both games are still worth revisiting on the Switch.
