JK Simmons will return as the voice of Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1

Kombat, Mortal, OmniMan, Return, Simmons, voice

NetherRealm had a very interesting panel at San Diego Comic-Con. On its booth, the studio unveiled up to three new trailers for Mortal Kombart 1, where it showed us more gameplay, dipped into the story, and revealed the first pack of additional characters that will be arriving via DLC.

A pack that contains some superheroes, like Patriot, Peacemaker and Omni-Man. What’s more, the study found that many of them will be played by the same actors who bring them to life in their shows and movies. Thus, Peacemaker will be played by John Cena, while JK Simmons will resume his role as Omni-Man.

JK Simmons confirmed as Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1

The famous American actor has been confirmed via Twitter by Skybound Games as the interpreter of Omni-Man in Mortal Kombat 1. In this way, he will repeat his role as the superhero of the Invincible series, a role in which we will also see him in the second season which opens in November of this year.

But that won’t be the only role played in video games by good ol’ JK Simmons, as he’ll also be the voice of General Ketheric Thorm, one of the three antagonists in Baldur’s Gate 3 coming to PC on August 3.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be available on Xbox Series X | S, PC, Nintendo Switch, and PS5 on September 19, 2023. The Kombat Pack of additional characters doesn’t yet have a release date or arrival date for the various characters, but we don’t think it’ll be long to find out.
