This week’s best deals: Criterion Collection, Super Mega Baseball 4 and more

After Prime Day shopping for non-essential items could not at the top of your priority list. But the deals didn’t stop, so neither did we. This weekend round-up features the best gaming and entertainment deals of the week so far, plus we’ve listed the top five best-selling products on Polygon over the past week. Speaking of movies, this is your last week to take part in Barnes & Noble’s excellent promotion, which is making many cheaper by half collection of criteria be it a DVD, a 4K UHD Blu-ray or a box set. Sale ends July 28th. Many of these films are discounted Amazonto.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, Barnes & Noble does a good job of categorizing it, highlighting classic Hollywood films, films directed by women, Asian cinema, indie films, LGBTQIA+ films, and more. You can even save (albeit a little less than 50%) on pre-orders, for example on the 4K Blu-ray version of lunar daydreamthe David Bowie film featuring footage and performances by the musician.

If you like baseball video games, Super mega baseball 4 is almost half the price at Target and sells for $29.99 on all available platforms, including PlayStation 5, XboxAnd Nintendo Switch. To say we enjoyed the game is a bit of an understatement. Our reviewer said that the game’s developers manage to convey the excitement that television often fails to deliver. It’s an entertaining series of games, and if you like the slightly cartoony visual style, you’ll probably love this game.

You can buy the Sega Genesis Mini 2 console with free shipping through Amazon Japan. Since launching in late 2022, this mini-console has been a bit difficult to find in stock, not helped by the fact that Sega was selling the majority of its inventory through Amazon Japan, requiring US buyers to import. However, Amazon currently covers the shipping cost, which is usually $22.30 on top of the current amount $94.37 Price.

The Genesis Mini 2 is worth buying if you can’t get enough of Sega’s retro titles. This model includes games like sewage shark, Golden Ax 2, OutRun, fantasy star 2and dozens more.

If you own a PS4 or a PS5, be sure to check out Sony’s PlayStation Summer Sale, which offers discounts on 3,082 games and DLC. Of course, not all of these are particularly good deals. But in this post, we’ve picked out a few dozen that piqued our interest. Sales will end on August 16th for most games, but some will return to their normal prices on August 3rd.
