Independent studio Pixel Reef has announced that Paper Beast, its new game and virtual reality game, will hit PlayStation VR on March 24.
Eric Chahi's new play, the composer behind such titles as Another World, Heart of Darkness and From Dust, is a dream odyssey that invites players to discover a simos ecosystem born from Internet data.
In this unfinished world, a weak link is formed between mysterious supernatural beings and the player to solve puzzles in nature and discover the mysteries of the game.
Paper Beast is made with a realistic idea in mind: by exploring the environment and its actions, players will begin to understand the complex world of Paper Best by discovering its effects.
In Paper Beast two modes will be available: adventure mode where the player will explore the fantasy world created by enticing creatures and sandwich mode, where space is provided for unlimited exploration.
As the world's first explorers, players will find that interacting with these creatures is the essence of the game. As they progress, interacting with health will help players shape the environment by overcoming obstacles and puzzles.
Sandbox mode draws on the knowledge of being a god, where testing and the process of ecology are key. Players can record a scene, play with the weather and interact with creatures and plants. All action results are calculated in real time by the deep physics engine of Paper Beast.
