From developer Gunfire Games and publisher Gearbox Publishing, Remnant II is available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The sequel to the best-selling book, Remnant: From the Ashes, is a third-person action-survival shooter that pits the remnants of humanity against the terrifying forces of evil.
Remnant II is the evolution of the co-op survival shooter, offering never-before-seen worlds full of deadly surprises and encounters. Now it’s time to join the fight to save humanity in a dynamically generated world filled with branching questlines, unique loot, and challenging challenges that encourage exploration and replay value, either alone or in three-person co-op.
Players will define their own playstyle with an expanded archetype class system and a wide range of weapons, armor and special augmentations while overcoming challenging challenges to delay humanity’s extinction.
In Remnant II, players delve deeper into a devastated world that requires a mix of tactical and frenetic ranged and melee combat to survive against cunning foes and powerful bosses. Players can go into battle alone or with two other players to improve their odds and overcome daunting challenges.
Each time players start a new run of Remnant II, they are transported to an entirely new world filled with a variety of locations, enemies, NPCs, bosses, and weapons. These dynamically built levels create unique gameplay experiences as elements are organically woven into the world and narrative.
An updated archetype system gives players more flexibility in choosing their playstyle, allowing groups to better balance unique passive abilities and awesome powers in co-op play, or mix and match archetypes for hybrid playstyles. From precision shots and melee attacks to team support skills and loyal canine companions, Remnant II allows players to customize their characters to suit their playstyle.
