We receive more statements from Shigeru Miyamoto, creator of Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda and other nintendent franchises, coming from his recent encounter with the Japanese magazine Famitsu. Thanks to the interview we have been able to know that he is aware that there are people who are going to Nintendo Tokyo or buy figures without playing the corresponding titles.
In relation to the first issue, he shares that there are many people who go to the official Nintendo store in the Shibuya PARCO center because they are Nintendo fans, but they don't have a Nintendo Switch in their possession. The creative wonders if all of them can be persuaded to buy one and if it will take a long time for the console to spread through the world market. Although Nintendo Switch is being a success in sales, he hopes to be able to recommend people who buy one of these consoles and their games before other objects related to characters such as figures.
In fact, at the meeting he has also dedicated some words to the figures. «In the United States, there is a strong demand for development of figurine products like the one sold in specialized stores, ”he says. "But if possible, I want you to buy two games first instead of the figures, I don't know if we will be giving too many licenses (laughs)."
"There are also fans who buy games and other products, so it's complicated (laughs)," concludes Miyamoto. What do you think about his statements?
