Anyone who has been under their belt for a few years and has been loyal to the video game area for a long time will surely be familiar with the cult series Worms by Team17. After several years of abstinence, this should now make its comeback in 2020.

The once extremely cult and popular Worms game series has become suspiciously quiet in recent years. The last major serial offshoot was released in 2016, but it wasn't as successful as previous parts. After all, Worms was once the flagship brand of the British developer studio. Between 1995 and 2010 alone, a total of 16 games were published within the franchise.
Now this calm around Worms should finally come to an end, because as Team17 has now confirmed, there should be a new Worms in the current year 2020. This has now been announced via Twitter using a short teaser video that shows the progress of the series over the years.

"Grab your bazooka and jump on your hats, the worms will be back in 2020 like you've never seen them before," says the corresponding tweet. Accordingly, there will be new worms and new ways to gamble the title.
