Tactical shooting game for console, PC and smartphone
Since World of Tanks is one of the most popular tactical shooting games on PCs, consoles, and smartphones, updates or login issues are a danger to every mission. We show you solutions that can get your tank back on track.
The popular tactical shooter is World of Tanks, of course, you don't want to encounter any problems while playing the game. If this happens, first check the World of Tanks server for problems.
Server issues with PSN or interference from Xbox Live may also end your mission early. However, if everything goes smoothly here, the problem must be elsewhere. You can find the exact location in the World of Tanks issue list below. We will also show you the right solution.
error in connecting
You cannot connect to the game server.
If this issue is not related to the World of Tanks server, it is mainly due to an Internet connection. Check your internet connection and if in doubt, disconnect briefly for a few seconds and try again. Network cables or shortening the distance between the router and the PC may also help. Also try to make sure your antivirus software is not blocking important ports of World of Tanks.
"Game in progress" error message
The Play button on the start screen is grayed out, meaning the game is already running, but the opposite is true
Wargaming support recommends that you first open the task manager [press CTRL + ALT + NTF at the same time, then press "Start Task Manager"]. Here you should end all missions with names or symbols related to World of Tanks. If this does not resolve the problem, restart your computer and try again.
Did not receive activation email
After creating your account, you did not receive an activation email that you can use to verify your account.
If you still do not receive the email after 30 minutes, check your spam folder. If in doubt, double check that you have entered the correct email address when registering. If these solutions don't help, you can also verify your account directly with anonymous World of Tanks tickets.
The game is jerky, slow or graphically wrong
You can play, but there are always annoying, optical and technical errors.
This usually indicates that your game does not meet the system requirements. So make sure your PC has all the necessary components.
Unable to register with password and email
If you try to log in using your email address and password, you will receive a login error when trying to log in to World of Tanks.
After checking the server, make sure you did not accidentally activate the Caps Lock key on your PC. Doesn't that help either? Then check to see if your game account and the installed version of World of Tanks are assigned to the same region. The last solution: reset the password on the official website.
Unable to download updates
You cannot fully download the latest updates for World of Tanks.
If you still can't download the update after several attempts, check your Internet connection and World of Tanks server. Your antivirus program may also be blocking the game. Then temporarily disable it to see if it is the cause. It can also help you delete the "update" directory in the game directory. The final solution is to cancel the update and completely uninstall all World of Tanks files. Then download the game again. In most cases, you can easily run the update later.
DirectX errors [for example: D3Dx9_43.dll, d3dx10_43.dll]
Your game crashes or fails to start, and you receive a DirectX error message.
Is your graphics driver current? According to the developer, you should check it first. Also check if you have the current version of DirectX installed on your computer.
