In this article we gather some ideas that Apple is thought to be called Apple. If we are honest, most of the suggestions are just opinion, although we would like to be part of the reason for choosing the name.
Because Steve Jobs loved apples
In a biography of Walter Isaacson, Jobs revealed that he came up with the name while "at the time of my fruit-eating." Visiting the apple farm, he thought the word sounded "lively, alive and not scary."
According to Steve Wozniak: "I remember that I was driving Steve Jobs from the airport on Highway 85. Steve was returning from a visit to Oregon in what he called" an apple orchard. "It was actually a kind of encounter. Name:" Apple Computer. "
Alan's preparation
There are several theories of how the apple logo bite was inspired by Alan Turing, who died after biting an apple with cyanide. It is a good idea that Jobs and Woz would like to honor Breaking, an enigmatic codebreaker widely viewed as the father of theoretical computing and artificial intelligence.
The famous logo designer, Rob Janoff, said the bite was intended to show the size of an apple, making it clear that it was an apple and not a cherry or other fruit.
It may not have been Apple's plan to remember Bear, but Jobs once told Stephen Fry he wanted to be.
Thanks to the phone book
When Apple was founded in 1976, companies often chose names that appeared before the phone book. The idea was that if a customer wanted a product, it would start with an "A".
A name like Apple, a new computer company will appear over its rivals Atari (who had already worked for Job).
There seems to be some truth to this. Jobs said in the early 1980s that they gave Apple the name that he liked apples, and "partly because Apple was before Atari in a phone book and I was working on it at Atari."
Because the apple helped Newton get gravity
That Apple somehow represents Isaac Newton, who is said to be gravitational after the apple fell to his head, is a reasonable assumption when it is known that the original Apple logo showed a picture of Isaac Newton sitting under a tree. Apple
That logo – actually designed by Steve Jobs – did not last long, however, it was quickly replaced by Apple's bite-colored ones.
The fact that Jobs made contact with Newton, and included the following quote in a poem by Liveworth, seems to indicate that he felt some sort of connection with Newton.
"Newton … is an idea that goes forever in a strange sea of unique thinking."
Will Adam and Eve have something to do with it?
It is speculated that the bitten apple was removed representing the apple of the Garden of Eden.
The bite of the forbidden fruit is said to have led to the enlightenment of Adam and Eve. Computers are certainly a tool by which we can be enlightened, even though we have to listen to fake news.
A little help from our friends
Steve Jobs was a huge follower of the Beatles and it was suggested that he choose the Apple Computer name because he liked the Beatles so much. The Beatles' label was Apple Corps.
Instead of choosing a name for the Beatles, it was there despite the Beatles. Going back to the story of Steve Woziak, after Jobs suggested that they should call his company "Apple," Woz asked "And how about the Apple Record?"
In the absence of a better name, Apple settled with Apple, a decision that would also bite them in many legal disputes with the Beatles record label.
The legal career concluded in 2006 when Apple Computer and Apple Records merged in the Supreme Court of Justice in a dispute over the existence of the iTunes Music Store, which notes that the Beatles record means Apple violated the previous agreement. The court ruled in favor of Apple Computer.
They couldn't think of anything better
In his biography, Woz, Steve Wozniak states that Apple was better than another name they could have imagined. "We both tried to come up with words that sounded better, but we couldn't think of a better one."
So, in fact, Apple is called Apple because there is nothing else they can think of.
