As confirmed yesterday, the March update of Rocket league It has already arrived and with it brings version 1.74 along with many interesting changes.
The changes include some new mechanics that allow the trade of Blueprints and new items to the item store, as well as lots of corrections.
You can find most of the changes below (for the full patch notes you can enter this link):
BLUEPRINT TRADE
Once the update is active, you can exchange Blueprints for others of higher rarity, as with free objects. Change five planes of the same series and the same rarity to get one of greater rarity in return!
Inventory filter correction
Speaking of Blueprints, inventory management is also receiving a correction. Any filter you set when viewing your inventory will remain active until you leave it. You can even change the tabs of objects while maintaining your filters. This also means that you can exchange items of a specific rarity, and those filters will remain active after the exchange. We hope this facilitates the negotiation process a bit.
Changes to the default configuration
We have made some slight adjustments to the default settings for players who try Rocket League for the first time. The new configuration should make it easier for new players to see the field and control their car. These changes will not affect anyone's modified control scheme or camera settings, but if players are using the current default settings, they will change to the new default settings after the update. This is what will change:
CAMERA
Default camera setting
The distance increased from 260 to 270
Stiffness increased from 0.3 to 0.5
Reduced camera movement intensity for most actions
“Legacy” camera preset added for players who prefer the original default settings
CONTROLS
The dead zone value of the command was reduced from 0.3 to 0.2
The dodge dead zone value increased from 0.5 to 0.8
The vibration intensity of the knob was reduced in the default setting
The pulse now only vibrates the controller when the pulse is activated, and not while it remains active.
The "Medium" and "High" vibration settings use the previous vibration
INTERFACE
Nameplates are now "always visible" by default.
Team Color Boost Meter is now enabled by default.
DYNAMIC RANGE CONTROLS FOR THE GAME AUDIO
We added HDR Audio to Rocket League in the August 12 season update, but soon you'll have even more control over the game's sound. The March update will add dynamic range presets. In the «Audio» tab in the options menu, you will find a new drop-down menu that contains dynamic range presets. This is how those presets will affect the game's audio:
Medium (default)
Medium will provide the most balanced audio mix for headphone users, and is a profile similar to the current game mix.
Low (night)
Bass is designed to listen at very low levels. Loud sounds become lower and low sounds become louder, and we also eliminate some sounds that are less important. We do not recommend using this setting on high fidelity systems or when playing Rocket League at a high volume.
High (theater)
This is the best combination for those who play Rocket League at high volume or with high quality sound systems. The loud sounds will be more vibrant and explosive, and the silent sounds like the noise of the crowd and the environment will be less overwhelming, which will help show a more dynamic experience.
The March update also brings a new series of items to Blueprints to the item store. Stay tuned next week for full disclosure. There will be more news in Rocket League in the coming weeks, so stay tuned as we reveal the new content for this spring! Until then, good luck and have fun!
