How to reduce YouTube data usage on Android
If you want to reduce the mobile data usage of the YouTube app on Android, there are two settings you can change in the app.
New Test tab
With this new testing tab, it is intended for users on YouTube to access more content, in addition to being able to navigate slowly within the app on their phones. By accessing this tab, we find and a series of articles, by which you can access the content mentioned. The topics are: Trends, Music, Videogames, News and Movies.
In addition to these topics, we have some popular videos at the time, so we never miss content that enjoys special popularity in the app. At this stage, we also want to focus more on content creators. The app will develop artists or content creators who are gaining popularity, thus allowing you to find new favorite artists. Although this route is not currently available, Google says it will be coming soon.
Update with this new tab on YouTube is starting, other users can now access it. If it doesn't come out, you have nothing to worry about as it starts out as prescribed. It can take a few days to be available to all users on Android and iOS.
