With update 0.12.4 Escape from Tarkov gets two new featuresthat make the survival shooter more realistic and therefore even more difficult: fatigue and overweight. And while fans are currently waiting for the next character wipe, there won't be one for the time being.
Your characters strength and stamina back to zero
On Twitter developer Battlestate Games announced that patch 0.12.4 is still a wipe, but on a much smaller scale. To implement the new Escape from Tarkov weight system reset two skills of your character to zero: Endurance and Strength.

Players who have already increased their stats to the maximum will no doubt be disappointed with this message. However, you have to keep in mind that Escape from Tarkov is still in beta and there are regular resets – about every six months, for example a complete character wipe.
Also, resetting the two stats of stamina and strength is important for both Battlestate Games developer and players to get a feel for the new weight feature of Escape from Tarkov: Does the new feature work properly? Where is there room for improvement? What do players think of the new feature?

Escape from Tarkov becomes even more difficult with patch 0.12.4
So the weight of your equipment, weapons and worn loot after patch 0.12.4 will affect a whole range of aspects: For example, your own noise level increases if you carry too much stuff with you. The movement speed of your own character is also limited, while more stamina is used up for certain actions.

Update 0.12.4 also brings a balance change that divides the community: To be able to access the flea market, players should first reach level 15 with their PMC. Battlestate Games already reacted to the criticism of the fans and announced on Twitterto set the required level for the flea market to 10.
