Twitch beats Zelda: Breath of the Wild, against all friction

They say that if you give the monkeys endless time, they will eventually write Shakespeare with great danger. I'm not sure if that is true, but at least I can guarantee that hundreds of people all fighting for control at the same time can be clear The History of Zelda: Wild Breathing.

Twitch streamer extraordinaire Pointcrow – which we installed in early March after resignation Wild Breathing without a go – came back from this with a different kind of feat. The content creator moderated his Twitch stream so his viewers could enter commands via chat, for specific actions, such as backlash and cleanup, which are easily broken. What is catching up is that the conversation is only controlled for five minutes at a time, and as always, Postcrow takes over.

If that sounds like cheating, there are two things to consider here. First, the original Twitch Plays Pokémon also took special measures to ensure that the river improved during difficult times, however it was a "democratic" vote that decided what would happen next. Second, Postcrow doesn't always make things easier on Twitch.

In fact, for many players, the Putcrows are pushing the conversation by deliberately placing a link in front of sophisticated enemies like Hynox.

"Instead of giving Sisyphus work to my viewers that could have taken months, if not years, I wanted to make something accessible in a reasonable time," Pocrow told Polygon on Twitter. “And we did!”

Conversation fights after Poycrow, too. While the conversation has managed to kill enemies on its own, such as the Bhoblins and even the Guardian, players are fleeing in the face of immense threats.

"I put the conversation in front of Lynel demanding that they fight and EVERYONE ended up leaving the area until Lynel could no longer see them," Powcrow told Polygon.

"Cowards, all of you," he said as he watched the flirtation talk out of harm's way.

To stimulate discussion, Pocrow has stressed that they cannot complete certain tasks – but says that if they do, he will give them free subscriptions to his channel. After the conversation has managed to defeat the Guard himself, Pocrow keeps his word and offers 20 subs.

After a while, the conversation managed to come together to form the Flurry Rushes and the enemy forces, which was satisfying to see. There is also a vague connection: Part of the conversation decides to press one button, while the rest of the conversation does the other.

While having someone in the corner of “Twitch Plays” is not uncommon, and it can add a touch of character to the process – we can see the happy faces of Pointow as the conversation involves the impossible.

For the Ganon war, Pointcrow chips in more than usual. These sections feel that the Pycrow gives the younger sibling control at crucial moments, and challenges them to do something right before they move on. In the first stage of the fight, the conversation in particular avoids attacks. Later, the chatbots also successfully defeated Stasis with the Waterblight Ganon attack.

In the final section, Pointcrow enables the conversation to finish Wild Breathing run. Up to 600 spectators participated in the event, which took place over 25 hours. Pocrow estimates that the conversation was in control of about 17 that hour, and that Link died about 80 times, usually with a crash.
