After many events and activities worldwide have been canceled due to the coronavirus, it is not a surprise to see Netflix be included in the health precaution of its employees canceling the production of all the projects that are filming in Canada and U.S. The work that production requires involves a large number of workers who are distributed in different work areas, such as screenwriters, directors, cameramen, actors and many more, this means that there are more odds of getting COVID-19, since being in a place full of many people, the virus has the ability to spread more quickly.
According IndieWire, the company has recently announced this news, thus confirming that the production of Stranger Things and Grace & Frankie will not continue, so they may be delayed depending on how the coronavirus situation develops. This suspension will last 2 weeks, and by then they will decide whether to continue postponing pending productions or continue.
