Due to the amazement of the – thanks to Alyx – the Valve Index sold out, many players overlook a no less important development on the VR market: standalone headsets! According to market researchers from SuperData, the wireless Oculus Quest has sold over 700,000 units last year.

In the field of wired devices, Sony had great success with PlayStation VR because PSVR does several things right despite supposedly outdated technology (compared to Valve Index & Co.).
