With Population Zero, the Enplex Games team wants to bring a bit of a breath of fresh air into the overflowing survival genre. The developers rely on numerous new and classic gameplay virtues.
The gameplay is far from complicated: You are thrown as one of up to 200 players on an alien planet and have to be here Survive in real time for seven days. This number results from the length of a day-night cycle on the planet Kepler, the game world of Population Zero. Not only other players are standing in your way here, but also numerous AI opponents.
But that doesn't mean you have to go through a whole week. According to the developers of Enplex Games, the game is built in such a way that several breaks are of course possible.
This is how Population Zero plays
You can only win a round if you distribute it randomly Fulfill orders within the time window and can survive. However, the round also ends when you die or fail to complete the goal. You can still get rewards for every round. The developers summarize the gameplay loop as follows:

Population Zero will be available on Steam on May 5th, 2020 in Early Access. If you want, you can pre-order the game on the official website from 18 euros and get a Steam Key for the early access release.
Variation through adaptation: Right from the start of the early access phase, you should have access to numerous changes in your environment. For example, you can adjust the aggressiveness of the fauna or even activate an optional permadeath mode.
