The Nintendo store in New York will be taking new steps to combat the spread of the coronavirus wall outbreak, officially known as COVID-19. Beginning Sunday, March 15, and continuing the foreseeable future, the store will reduce its opening hours. From Monday to Friday, it will be open from 11:00 to 8:00 pm, with the weekend from 11:00 to 6:00 pm.
To continue to protect its employees and visitors, it follows the guidance provided by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, and public health departments. Increases in-depth cleaning services, limits the number of customers in a store at a time, canceled all in-store events, and is subject to blocking by all social circles.
Short-term stations will also be demolished by workers on a regular basis, and workers have been ordered to stay at home and remain independent if they feel unpleasant for up to 14 days. Below is the full message posted to Nintendo NY's Twitter account:
On Friday, a coronavirus outbreak reached Nintendo's US headquarters in Redmond, Washington, when an employee was diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus. All employees associated with this person are now independent and Nintendo will allow all employees in the states of California and Washington to work from home.
