How to get Knotroot in Lego Fortnite

Fortnite, Knotroot, LEGO

Gnarled root is an essential material for the modernization of equipment and structures LEGO Fortnite.

Knootroot is unfortunately a bit difficult to find, and you also need an uncommon logging ax to chop the wood once you’ve located it, so to help you out, we’ve detailed how to get Knootroot in Lego Fortnite below.

For more help with Fortnite’s Lego mode, we have pages on how to get the free Lego Insiders and Trailblazer Tai skins, as well as how to make a short sword and build a spinning wheel.

How to get Knootroot in Lego Fortnite

To get Knootroot in Lego Fortnite you must first find a cave, because that’s where Knootroot grows. You need to chop down the Knootroot with a Logging Axe of Uncommon or Higher quality, which you can craft on your crafting bench after upgrading it once with Shells and Wooden Rods.

Caves are marked on your map with a cave symbol, as shown in the image below. We managed to search for caves in the Grasslands biomes, which are areas covered in – you guessed it – grass.

All you have to do when you find a cave is press the button to enter it, then go looking for the root-shaped Knootroot on the cave walls.

To harvest Knootroot, you must use an Uncommon Logging Ax or a Premium Logging Axe. The recipe for making an unusual forest ax is as follows:

Bone are found by killing skeleton enemies, which tend to appear at night. If you aggravate a group of them, we recommend running back to your village so your villagers can take care of them quickly. You can receive wooden rods using wood in the sawmill.

To get the Uncommon Forest Ax recipe, you need to upgrade your crafting bench once. The materials you need to upgrade your crafting bench for the first time are:

Boards are obtained by transforming your wood at the sawmill, but shells are harder to obtain, as you have to find Roller enemies and kill them to collect their shells.

We find Rollers most often in the Grasslands biomes, but you really have to search the area, as they look like granite. You’ll know a granite slab is actually a scroll if a green leaf protrudes from the top.

You can kill Rollers without having one, but we recommend making one Knight’s Shield to protect you from their rolling attacks, which also hit them on their backs, leaving the Rollers open to attacks.

To make a knight’s shield you need:

Rope is made from spinning wheel vines, and you can easily get vines by cutting bushes or corn stalks.

Now that you have this uncommon logging axe, it’s time to search a cave and get Knootroot!
