Children and young people of yesteryear will surely be happy to know that one of the most remarkable science fiction manga of the 80s will soon return to the platform with great fanfare.
A cult franchise back on Netflix!
Giant mechas standing happily on their faces in an astronomical amount of Japanese anime, a cult manga from the 80s… Does that mean anything to you? We are of course talking about Gundam, the franchise created by Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hajime Yatate, two icons of the industry. After numerous and varied adaptations ranging from paper versions to animated films, including anime and video games, Gundam will soon return to Netflix with a very big project.
Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance will be a particularly ambitious series developed with Unreal Engine 5, Epic’s visual engine to which we owe real technical masterpieces of late. The program is produced by SAFEHOUSE Studios, veterans of CGI animation and video games. The series takes place during the famous One Year War, which was also the setting for the first Gundam works.
series Gundam Requiem for Revenge will provide the spectacle and also focus on the human drama that affects the pilots. We therefore expect a series that is both visually impressive and perhaps very touching. Unfortunately, there’s no release date yet, but this Netflix series shouldn’t last too long. Does it heat you up?
