eager to know more Metal Gear Solid Creator Hideo Kojima?A documentary about him is about to be released Disney+ next year.

Hideo Kojima: World Connect premiered earlier this year, and as you can pretty safely assume, it’s focused on the video game industry’s #1 movie buff. As described on the Kojima Productions website, the film “takes you on a journey into the creative mind of the world’s most iconic video game creator. Widely considered the first director of video games , this visually arresting documentary offers rare insights into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he launches his own independent studio.” Self-congratulatory language aside, it sounds like it will cover his work on Konami’s journey after that, and what led him to found Kojima Productions.

Hideo Kojima himself confirmed this English Twitter, the film will be “exclusively released” on Disney+ next spring. The film will also be released worldwide, so it doesn’t matter where you are. The film is directed by Glenn Milner and also stars Guillermo del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn, Grimes, George Miller, Norman and others. Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches and “many others.” These names are already familiar, but it’s clear that most of these names are tied to Death Stranding in one way or another.

Last year, Kojima finally officially announced Death Stranding 2 at the 2022 Game Awards, which surprised no one. The game director also returned to this year’s Game Awards, once again announcing a game everyone knows, simply titled Outer Diameter. This is the Xbox game that Kojima previously announced he was working on, and he’s once again teaming up with a critically acclaimed filmmaker, this time Get Out and No director Jordan Peele. Not much is known about OD at the moment, but Kojima describes it as “like a movie, but also a new form of media,” which doesn’t really narrow it down.
