Alan Wake 2 Final Draft adds a new ending and new story content
If you want to read this Full patch notes for the Final Draft update, you can read them here. Otherwise, we’ll go over the key points of what to expect with the new game, plus:
- New ending
- New Nightmare difficulty
- New manuscript pages and video content
As you would expect from a New Game Plus mode, you keep everything you unlocked on your first playthrough, including videos, charms and upgrades. You get all of your unlocked weapons after finding the first shoebox in the game (this game’s version). resident Evil‘s item boxes). In order to access the new content, you must of course have played through it Alan Wake 2 at least once.
Alan Wake 2 The update also includes some performance fixes
Remedy Entertainment also did some technical work to get it Alan Wake 2 runs a little better (the game notoriously places very high demands on the PC specifications And uses the latest graphics technology).
The update promises overall performance improvements, but the PS5’s “Quality Mode” is mentioned in the patch notes as having some of the biggest improvements. However, if you’re on Team Green, don’t worry: the patch notes promise an improvement to texture streaming, which was particularly problematic on the Xbox Series consoles.
There is a long list of other improvements, some of which are more specific, such as: B. the shadow quality in the Valhalla nursing home to help (and yes, the patch notes explicitly say that) “respect the elderly even more”. If you’re in real estate, you can rest assured that “broken materials on garage building in downtown Bright Falls” have been repaired, which “increases property value.”
I’m excited to see how these updates improve the experience on PC, where for me it was playable and enjoyable, but suffered from regular framerate drops. I was hope I’ll have to wait until I upgrade my computer to play this gem of a game again, but I guess I’ll just get sucked into that damn lake again.
