How can you create different lists in Google Tasks? A pleasant convenience feature is the ability to create different lists for your tasks. Once you have arrived in the main view, you can select existing lists and create new ones.

Such lists can be helpful if you are working on different projects (e.g. “current projects,” “household,” “friends & family,” “vacation planning,” or similar).

A few months ago I was looking for an application that would help me better manage my various tasks (areas). Todoist worried.

For the first few weeks, I was impressed by the numerous options to categorize my tasks (into sub-categories, with icons and color-coded), to record deadlines on a calendar, to set priorities (low, medium, high priority) or to set filters (“show me only tasks from project XY”).

A few weeks later, the haywire in Todoist was too much for me and I returned to a combination of Google Calendar, Google Tasks and pen & paper.

Personally, I drive much better now. That’s why I’m happy to now be able to push around my tasks at home on my stationary computer using Google Tasks.

On the one hand, I welcome this because it means my tasks run directly alongside the appointments in the Google calendar. On the other hand, I am still skeptical as to whether the slim range of functions of Google Tasks will meet my needs.

But the new view is definitely a step in the right direction.

Are you also happy that Google Tasks is now a bit more convenient on your PC? Or do you neither use Google Calendar nor Google Tasks and therefore don’t like the innovation? In other words: How do you organize yourself – if not with a sheet of paper and pencil? Feel free to tell us in the comments how you can put productivity into practice.
