Developer Red Barrels announced at The Game Awards that it will bring its multiplayer survival horror The Outlast Trials on Xbox consoles on March 5, 2024.
The Outlast Trials is a new installment of the popular survival horror series Outlast.set in the same terrifying universe as previous titles, but this time We can choose to play alone or with friends in a team of four people maximum.
Setting in the middle of the cold war, players take on the role of test subjects kidnapped by the shadowy Murkoff Corporation. Imprisoned in a secret Murkoff facility, players will find themselves immersed in a series of physical and mental trials, tormented by emblematic characters of the saga, and challengedalone or in teams, to survive with their sanity intact.
Released in Early Access on PC in May 2023, The Outlast Trials was a success with over 1.5 million copies sold worldwide. For the release of the console version of the game on March 5, 2024, Red Barrel’s will introduce a terrifying new test: Toy factory, in which test subjects confront the psychotic Mother Gooseberry. Additionally, there are several new features such as new MK challenges created specifically for Toy Factory, new character customization options, outfits and an increased level cap.
