Believe it or not, this Sunday will be exactly one month since Nintendo officially released Super Mario RPG on the Nintendo Switch. Since then, Nintendo has marketed the game somewhat, but the company has not released a single update for Super Mario RPG.
Well, as of tonight, that has changed. A brand new update has been released for Super Mario RPG. After you update the game, it should be on version 1.0.1. As for the official patch notes, unsurprisingly, only bug fixes are mentioned. You can see the patch notes below.
Fixes related to game progression
If you have already encountered the following issues, downloading this update will resolve the issues.
- Fixed an issue where, after an event where you encounter Paratroopas in Monstro Town, game progress would sometimes be blocked due to Paratroopas not appearing at Land’s End.
- Fixed an issue where, after finishing an enemy battle in the Mushroom Kingdom, game progress would sometimes be blocked because another battle would constantly start right after it.
- Fixed an issue where, during the Marrymore event, game progress would sometimes be blocked due to Mario being taken by surprise.
- Fixed an issue in the six-door section of Bowser’s Keep where it was sometimes impossible to enter doors five and six.
- Note: If the above problem occurs, leaving the six-door compartment and returning again will resolve the problem.
- Fixed an issue where, in a sunken ship area with many cannons, game progress would sometimes be blocked due to Mario being surprised.
- Fixed an issue where when stomping the Shogun in Land’s End, game progress would sometimes be blocked due to the screen not changing.
Other repairs
- Fixed an issue where messages would change when using Thought Peek on Straw Head and Reacher.
